  • 1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
  • 12 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
  • Splash of water or almond milk
  • Handful of ice cubes
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • Lemon zest (optional)

Instructions

  1. Blend the blueberry layer: In your blender, combine 1 cup of blueberries, 1-2 tablespoons of honey or maple syrup, a splash of water or almond milk, and a handful of ice cubes. Blend until smooth. Pour this into a separate container and set it aside.
  2. Blend the lemonade layer: Rinse out your blender. Add 1 cup of Greek yogurt, 2 tablespoons of lemon juice, a bit of lemon zest, 1-2 tablespoons of honey or maple syrup, and another handful of ice cubes. Blend until creamy and smooth.
  3. Layer the smoothie: Pour a bit of the blueberry mixture into your glass, then add some of the lemonade mixture. Alternate layers until your glass is full.
  4. Swirl it up: Use a spoon or a skewer to gently swirl the two layers together for a signature look. Don’t overdo it, or you’ll lose the pretty colors.
  5. Garnish and serve: Top with a few fresh blueberries, a lemon slice, or a sprig of mint. Serve immediately.

Notes

For an extra refreshing experience, chill your glass in the freezer before serving. Adjust the sweetness based on the natural sweetness of your blueberries.
