Cinnamon Roll Iced Latte

Cinnamon Roll Iced Latte

This Cinnamon Roll Iced Latte is a bakery-inspired iced coffee treat that combines cinnamon syrup, brown sugar, creamy milk, and espresso for a sweet, cozy, and refreshing drink. It’s easy to make at home and tastes just like sipping a cinnamon roll, without the sugar crash.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 shots (2 ounces) espresso or strong brewed coffee
  • 3/4 cup milk (whole, 2%, oat, almond, or preferred milk)
  • 23 tablespoons homemade cinnamon syrup (see below)
  • Ice (enough to fill a tall glass)
  • Whipped cream (optional, for topping)
  • Extra cinnamon or brown sugar (optional, for garnish)
  • For cinnamon syrup:
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Make the cinnamon syrup: Combine 1/4 cup brown sugar, 1/4 cup water, 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon, and 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract in a small saucepan. Heat over medium, stirring occasionally, until the sugar dissolves and the syrup thickens slightly (about 2-3 minutes). Let cool.
  2. Brew 2 shots (2 ounces) of espresso or strong coffee. Let it cool for a minute.
  3. Fill a tall glass with ice.
  4. Add 2-3 tablespoons of cinnamon syrup to the glass.
  5. Pour in the cooled espresso or coffee.
  6. Top with 3/4 cup milk (frothed or shaken for extra foam, if desired).
  7. Stir well with a spoon or straw until combined.
  8. Top with whipped cream, if desired, and sprinkle extra cinnamon or brown sugar for garnish.

Notes

For a vegan version, use plant-based milk and coconut whip. Adjust sweetness by starting with 1 tablespoon of syrup and adding more to taste. Make cinnamon syrup ahead and store in the fridge for up to two weeks. Use cold brew for a smoother flavor. For extra bakery flair, rim the glass with cinnamon sugar before pouring in the drink.
