Cinnamon Swirl Cold Brew

This easy, luxurious coffeehouse-style drink combines bold cold brew coffee with homemade cinnamon syrup and creamy milk for a refreshing, cozy treat. Perfect for slow mornings or a fancy afternoon pick-me-up, it’s customizable and totally doable at home.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup cold brew coffee
  • 23 tablespoons cinnamon syrup (homemade or store-bought)
  • 1/4 cup milk, cream, or dairy-free milk (oat, almond, coconut, etc.)
  • Ice (enough to fill a tall glass)
  • Pinch of ground cinnamon (optional, for garnish)
  • Sweetener (optional: honey, maple syrup, vanilla syrup, or brown sugar)
  • For homemade cinnamon syrup: 1/2 cup sugar, 1/2 cup water, 2 cinnamon sticks (or 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon)

Instructions

  1. Make the cinnamon syrup: Combine 1/2 cup sugar and 1/2 cup water in a small saucepan. Add 2 cinnamon sticks (or 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon). Bring to a gentle simmer over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves. Simmer for 10 minutes, then remove from heat and cool. Strain out the cinnamon and store the syrup in a jar in the fridge.
  2. Fill a tall glass with ice.
  3. Pour in 1 cup of cold brew coffee over the ice.
  4. Add 2-3 tablespoons of cinnamon syrup (adjust to taste).
  5. Pour in 1/4 cup of milk, cream, or dairy-free milk.
  6. Stir well to blend the syrup, coffee, and milk.
  7. Sprinkle a pinch of ground cinnamon on top for garnish.
  8. Taste and adjust sweetness or creaminess as desired.

Notes

For best flavor, use homemade cinnamon syrup with real cinnamon sticks. Chill your glass before serving for extra iciness. Adjust syrup and milk to taste. Use plant-based milk for vegan or dairy-free versions. Double or triple the recipe for a crowd. Strain syrup well if using ground cinnamon.
