Ingredients

  • 1 cup milk (whole, almond, oat, or coconut)
  • 1/3 cup espresso or strong coffee
  • 12 tablespoons salted caramel sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Whipped cream (optional)

Instructions

  1. Brew a shot of espresso or about 1/3 cup of strong coffee and set it aside.
  2. In a small saucepan, heat 1 cup of milk over medium heat. Stir in 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon and 1 teaspoon of brown sugar until dissolved. Do not let the milk boil.
  3. Froth the milk using a frother or whisk until it’s light and foamy.
  4. Pour the brewed coffee into your mug. Add 1-2 tablespoons of salted caramel sauce and stir well.
  5. Gently pour the frothed milk over the coffee and caramel mixture. Spoon the foam on top if desired.
  6. Drizzle more salted caramel sauce on top, sprinkle with a pinch of cinnamon, and optionally add a dollop of whipped cream.

Notes

Don’t overheat the milk to avoid a scorched taste. Adjust sweetness to your liking by reducing caramel or skipping the brown sugar. Serve with a snickerdoodle cookie for the ultimate pairing.
