Honey-Lavender Iced Latte

Honey-Lavender Iced Latte

The Honey-Lavender Iced Latte is a magical combination of floral, sweet, and creamy flavors, perfect for a refreshing pick-me-up or a fancy treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon dried lavender
  • 2 shots espresso or 1/2 cup strong coffee
  • 1/2 to 3/4 cup milk of choice (whole, almond, oat, or coconut)
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
  • Ice cubes

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, combine 1/4 cup of honey, 1/4 cup of water, and 1 tablespoon of dried lavender. Bring to a gentle simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
  2. Once the honey dissolves, remove from heat and let it steep for 10 minutes. Strain out the lavender and let the syrup cool.
  3. Pull two shots of espresso or brew about 1/2 cup of strong coffee. Let it cool slightly.
  4. Fill a glass with ice, pour in the coffee, and add 1-2 tablespoons of the honey-lavender syrup (adjust to taste).
  5. Gently pour in your milk of choice, about 1/2 to 3/4 cup, depending on how creamy you like it.
  6. Stir well, taste, and adjust sweetness if needed. Garnish with a sprig of lavender or a drizzle of honey if desired.

Notes

Don’t overdo the lavender to avoid a soapy taste. Adjust the sweetness to your preference. The honey-lavender syrup can be made ahead and stored in the fridge for up to two weeks.
