This easy, creamy iced matcha latte is the perfect refreshing drink for summer bliss. With gorgeous layers, earthy matcha flavor, and customizable sweetness, it’s a quick pick-me-up that’s both beautiful and delicious.

Ingredients

  • 1 to teaspoons matcha powder (ceremonial or culinary grade)
  • 23 tablespoons hot water (just under boiling)
  • 12 teaspoons maple syrup, honey, or sweetener of choice
  • 1 cup cold milk (whole, oat, almond, soy, or coconut)
  • Ice cubes
  • Optional: splash of vanilla extract
  • Optional: sprinkle of cinnamon or nutmeg
  • Optional: 1 scoop collagen powder

Instructions

  1. Heat 2-3 tablespoons of water until hot but not boiling.
  2. Add matcha powder to a small bowl or mug. Pour in the hot water.
  3. Whisk vigorously (using a matcha whisk, regular whisk, or fork) until frothy and no lumps remain.
  4. Add sweetener and whisk until dissolved. Taste and adjust sweetness as desired.
  5. Fill a clear glass with plenty of ice.
  6. Pour in 1 cup cold milk.
  7. Slowly pour the matcha mixture over the milk and ice. For layered effect, pour matcha gently over the back of a spoon.
  8. Top with a sprinkle of matcha or cinnamon if desired.
  9. Stir gently, insert a straw, and enjoy!

Notes

Sift matcha powder before whisking for a smoother drink. Use hot but not boiling water to avoid bitterness. Chill your glass for extra refreshment. Adjust sweetness and milk type to taste. For a protein boost, add collagen or protein powder. Drink fresh for best flavor and appearance.
