Irish Cream Soda

Irish Cream Soda

This easy homemade Irish Cream Soda is a creamy, fizzy, and festive treat perfect for St. Patrick’s Day or any time you want a sweet pick-me-up. It’s a playful twist on the classic Italian Cream Soda, featuring Irish cream syrup, club soda, and a swirl of cream.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 23 tablespoons Irish cream syrup (non-alcoholic or liqueur)
  • 1 cup (8 ounces) club soda or sparkling water
  • 23 tablespoons half-and-half or heavy cream (or coconut cream/oat milk for dairy-free)
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Ice (enough to fill glass 3/4 full)
  • Whipped cream (optional, for topping)
  • Green or gold sprinkles (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Fill a tall glass about 3/4 full with ice.
  2. Pour in 2-3 tablespoons of Irish cream syrup.
  3. Add 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract.
  4. Slowly pour in 1 cup (8 ounces) club soda or sparkling water.
  5. Gently pour 2-3 tablespoons half-and-half or cream over the top.
  6. Stir gently to combine, leaving streaks for a classic look if desired.
  7. Top with whipped cream and sprinkles, if using.
  8. Serve immediately with a straw.

Notes

Chill all ingredients and glass for extra frothiness. For a layered look, pour cream over the back of a spoon. Adjust syrup to taste for sweetness. Use coconut cream or oat milk for vegan/dairy-free version. Best served immediately; fizz fades if made ahead.
