Peach Iced Tea Lemonade

Peach Iced Tea Lemonade

A bright, fruity, and refreshing summer drink that combines classic southern iced tea, fresh lemonade, and juicy peaches. Perfect for hot days, picnics, or backyard gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 45 black tea bags (such as Lipton or Luzianne)
  • 34 ripe peaches (fresh or frozen, unsweetened)
  • 45 lemons (to yield about 1 cup fresh lemon juice)
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar (or honey/agave, to taste)
  • 89 cups water (divided: 4 cups for tea, 1 cup for peach syrup, 34 cups cold water for mixing)
  • Ice (for serving)
  • Fresh mint sprigs (optional, for garnish)
  • Extra peach slices and lemon wheels (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Bring 4 cups of water to a boil. Remove from heat and add 4-5 black tea bags. Let steep for 5-7 minutes, then remove tea bags and let tea cool.
  2. Slice 3-4 ripe peaches (no need to peel unless desired). Add peaches to a saucepan with 1 cup water and 1/2 cup sugar. Simmer over medium heat for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until peaches are soft and syrupy.
  3. Mash peaches slightly, then strain syrup through a fine mesh strainer into a bowl or measuring cup. Let cool.
  4. Juice 4-5 lemons to yield about 1 cup fresh lemon juice. Remove seeds.
  5. In a large pitcher, combine brewed tea, peach syrup, and lemon juice. Add 3-4 cups cold water. Taste and adjust sweetness or tartness as desired.
  6. Stir in plenty of ice. Add extra peach slices and lemon wheels for garnish if desired.
  7. Pour into glasses filled with ice and garnish with fresh mint sprigs.

Notes

For best flavor, use ripe, fresh peaches. Frozen peaches work well if fresh are unavailable. Adjust sugar to taste and use a sugar substitute for a lower-sugar version. Make ahead and chill for a few hours for deeper flavor. Add sparkling water for a fizzy twist, or a splash of bourbon or vodka for an adult version. Freeze leftover drink into popsicles for a fun treat.
