Caramelized Maple Latte Shake

This indulgent fall-inspired shake combines caramelized maple syrup, bold coffee, and a creamy milkshake base for the ultimate cozy treat.

  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 12 shots espresso or 1/4 cup strong coffee
  • 2 cups vanilla ice cream
  • 1/2 cup milk (whole milk or oat milk recommended)
  • Whipped cream (for topping)
  • Ground cinnamon (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, combine 1/4 cup of maple syrup and 1 tablespoon of brown sugar. Heat over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens and turns a rich amber color (about 3-5 minutes). Be careful not to burn it.
  2. While the syrup is caramelizing, brew a shot (or two) of espresso or about 1/4 cup of strong coffee. Let it cool slightly.
  3. In a blender, combine the caramelized maple syrup, cooled coffee, 2 cups of vanilla ice cream, and 1/2 cup of milk. Blend until smooth and creamy.
  4. Pour the shake into your favorite glass or mason jar, leaving room at the top for whipped cream.
  5. Top with whipped cream, a drizzle of maple syrup, and a sprinkle of ground cinnamon. Optionally, garnish with a cinnamon stick or coffee beans.

Notes

Let the coffee cool slightly before blending to maintain the thick milkshake consistency. Adjust the sweetness by reducing the brown sugar or using unsweetened whipped cream.
