A refreshing and crowd-pleasing fall drink that combines apple cider, white wine, fresh fruits, and warming spices. Perfect for cozy evenings and festive gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 bottle dry white wine (Sauvignon Blanc or Pinot Grigio)
  • 2 cups fresh, unfiltered apple cider
  • 12 firm apples (Honeycrisp or Granny Smith), sliced
  • 1 orange, thinly sliced
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 1 star anise (optional)
  • 1/2 cup club soda
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup (optional)

Instructions

  1. Wash and slice the apples and oranges into thin rounds. Remove seeds if necessary.
  2. In a large pitcher, add the apple cider, white wine, and maple syrup (if using). Stir gently to combine.
  3. Toss in the sliced apples, oranges, cinnamon sticks, and star anise (if using). Stir again to make sure everything is evenly distributed.
  4. Cover the pitcher and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to let the flavors meld together. Overnight chilling is even better!
  5. Just before serving, pour in the club soda for a refreshing fizz.
  6. Pour the sangria into glasses, making sure each one gets a slice of apple and orange, plus a cinnamon stick for garnish. Enjoy!

Notes

Taste your sangria before serving and adjust sweetness with maple syrup or orange juice if needed. Chill overnight for deeper flavors.
