This Autumn Harvest Moscow Mule is a cozy, crisp fall cocktail blending apple cider, ginger beer, vodka, and fresh fruit garnishes. It’s easy to make, perfect for parties, and captures all the best flavors of the season in a frosty copper mug.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 oz vodka
  • 2 oz apple cider
  • 4 oz ginger beer
  • 1/2 oz freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 1/2 tsp maple syrup (optional)
  • Fresh pear slices (optional, for garnish)
  • Apple slices (for garnish)
  • Cinnamon stick (optional, for garnish)
  • Rosemary sprig (optional, for garnish)
  • Crushed ice

Instructions

  1. Place your copper mug (or glass) in the freezer for at least 10 minutes to chill.
  2. Slice apple and pear for garnishes; dip in lemon juice to prevent browning if desired.
  3. Fill the chilled mug about 3/4 full with crushed ice.
  4. Add 2 oz vodka, 2 oz apple cider, 1/2 oz freshly squeezed lime juice, and 1/2 tsp maple syrup (if using) to the mug, stirring gently after the maple syrup to dissolve.
  5. Top with 4 oz ginger beer and stir gently to maintain carbonation.
  6. Garnish with apple and pear slices, a cinnamon stick, and a rosemary sprig if desired.
  7. Taste and adjust: add more cider or maple syrup if too tart, or more lime if too sweet.
  8. Serve immediately while ice-cold.

Notes

Always use crushed ice and a chilled mug for the best experience. Fresh lime juice is key for brightness. Adjust sweetness with maple syrup as needed. For a non-alcoholic version, skip the vodka and add more cider or a splash of club soda. Garnish generously for a festive look. If making ahead, mix all but the ginger beer and ice, then add those just before serving.
