A refreshing summer drink combining the tangy burst of lemon with the sweet, juicy goodness of blackberries. Perfect for backyard gatherings and lazy afternoons.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups fresh or frozen blackberries
  • 1/2 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 23 lemons)
  • 2 tablespoons honey or sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 4 cups water (1 cup for blending, 3 cups for mixing)
  • Ice cubes (optional)
  • Mint leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Wash the blackberries thoroughly under cold water. If using frozen berries, let them thaw slightly.
  2. In a blender, combine the blackberries and 1 cup of water. Blend until smooth, about 1-2 minutes.
  3. Pour the blackberry puree through a fine mesh strainer into a large bowl or pitcher, pressing gently to extract all the juice. Discard the seeds.
  4. Add the fresh lemon juice to the strained blackberry juice.
  5. Stir in honey or sugar, starting with 2 tablespoons and adjusting to taste. Mix well until fully dissolved.
  6. Add 3 cups of cold water to the pitcher and stir to combine.
  7. Serve the juice over ice cubes for a chilled, refreshing experience. Garnish with mint leaves if desired.

Notes

[‘Use fresh blackberries and lemons for the best flavor.’, ‘Adjust sweetness to taste; honey adds a natural touch while sugar dissolves quickly.’, ‘Chill the juice for 30 minutes before serving for enhanced flavor.’, ‘Experiment with garnishes like mint, lemon slices, or whole blackberries for a beautiful presentation.’, ‘For a fizzy twist, swap some of the water for sparkling water.’]
