A smoky and spicy twist on the classic Bloody Mary, featuring roasted bell peppers for depth and customizable heat levels.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large red bell peppers, roasted
  • 4 cups tomato juice
  • 1 1/2 cups vodka
  • 12 tsp hot sauce
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Juice of 1 fresh lemon
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp celery salt
  • 1/2 tsp freshly cracked black pepper
  • Optional garnishes: celery sticks, lime wedges, olives, pickles, crispy bacon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Place the bell peppers on a roasting pan and roast for 25-30 minutes, turning occasionally, until the skins are charred and blistered.
  2. Once cooled, peel off the skin and remove the seeds. Blend the peppers in a blender until smooth.
  3. In a large pitcher, combine the roasted bell pepper puree, tomato juice, vodka, hot sauce, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, smoked paprika, celery salt, and black pepper. Stir well.
  4. Taste the mixture and add more hot sauce or lemon juice, depending on your preference.
  5. Refrigerate the mixture for at least 30 minutes to let the flavors meld.
  6. Fill glasses with ice, pour the Bloody Mary mixture over, and garnish as desired.
