A warm and indulgent latte combining the caramelized sweetness of brown sugar, a hint of bourbon, and freshly brewed coffeeโ€”perfect for cozy mornings or special occasions.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 68 oz (180240 ml) brewed coffee
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ยพ cup (180 ml) milk (whole milk or dairy-free alternatives like oat, almond, or soy milk)
  • 1 tablespoon bourbon (optional)
  • Cinnamon (for sprinkling)
  • Whipped cream (optional)

Instructions

  1. Start by brewing your coffee. Aim for about 6-8 oz (180-240 ml) of strong coffee as the base for your latte.
  2. In a small saucepan, combine 2 tablespoons of brown sugar and 1 tablespoon of water. Heat over medium-low until the sugar dissolves and creates a syrupy consistency. Remove from heat and stir in 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract.
  3. Warm your milk. Add ยพ cup (180 ml) of milk to the saucepan and heat gently until warm, but not boiling. Use a whisk or frother to create some foam if desired.
  4. Pour the brewed coffee into your mug, followed by 1 tablespoon of bourbon (or less, depending on your preference).
  5. Stir in the brown sugar mixture and top with the frothy milk. Sprinkle with cinnamon for a fragrant touch.
  6. Optional: Top with whipped cream and an extra dash of cinnamon for a cafรฉ-style finish.

Notes

[‘Donโ€™t overheat the milk to avoid scalding.’, ‘Adjust bourbon to taste or omit for a non-alcoholic version.’, ‘Use freshly brewed coffee for the best flavor.’, ‘Experiment with spices like nutmeg or cardamom for a unique twist.’, ‘For a thicker foam, whisk the milk vigorously before pouring.’]
