A nostalgic and refreshing non-alcoholic cocktail featuring fizzy ginger ale, bright grenadine, fresh lime juice, and a charming cherry skewer garnish. Perfect for any occasion and loved by both kids and adults.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz (240 ml) ginger ale
  • 1 to 1.5 tablespoons (1522 ml) grenadine syrup
  • ยฝ tablespoon (7 ml) fresh lime juice
  • 3 to 4 maraschino cherries per skewer
  • Ice cubes, enough to fill the glass
  • Lime wedge for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Thread 3 to 4 maraschino cherries onto a bamboo skewer and set aside.
  2. Fill a 12 oz (355 ml) highball glass about three-quarters full with ice cubes.
  3. Pour 1 to 1.5 tablespoons (15-22 ml) of grenadine syrup over the ice, then add ยฝ tablespoon (7 ml) of freshly squeezed lime juice.
  4. Slowly add 8 oz (240 ml) of chilled ginger ale down the side of the glass to maintain fizz and layering.
  5. Gently stir the mixture with a bar spoon to combine flavors without flattening the bubbles.
  6. Garnish by placing the cherry skewer on top of the glass or resting it across the rim. Optionally add a lime wedge on the rim.

Notes

Use chilled ginger ale and fresh ice cubes to keep the drink fizzy. Warm thick grenadine slightly before measuring for easier pouring. Fresh lime juice is essential for brightness. Stir gently to preserve carbonation. Prepare cherry skewers ahead for efficiency. Optional adult version: add 1 oz vodka or white rum.
