A quick and easy homemade Roy Rogers soda recipe featuring cola, grenadine syrup, and maraschino cherries for a nostalgic, refreshing drink.

  • 1 cup (240 ml) cola (classic Coca-Cola or Pepsi recommended)
  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) grenadine syrup (preferably pomegranate-based)
  • 12 maraschino cherries per glass
  • Ice cubes as needed

Instructions

  1. Chill your glass in the fridge or freezer for about 10 minutes.
  2. Fill the chilled glass about ยพ full with ice cubes.
  3. Pour 2 tablespoons (30 ml) of grenadine syrup over the ice.
  4. Slowly pour 1 cup (240 ml) of cola into the glass, pouring down the side or over the back of a spoon to preserve fizz.
  5. Gently stir the grenadine and cola just enough to combine without losing bubbles.
  6. Garnish with 1-2 maraschino cherries and a fun straw if desired.
  7. Serve immediately to enjoy the full fizz and refreshing flavor.

Chill the glass and ingredients to keep the soda fizzy longer. Pour cola slowly to preserve bubbles. Use real pomegranate-based grenadine for best flavor.
