A warm and comforting cortado featuring espresso, creamy oat milk, honey, and cinnamon. Simple to make and perfect for cozy mornings or any time you need a gentle caffeine boost.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 shots espresso (about 60 ml / 2 fl oz) or ยฝ cup (120 ml) strong brewed coffee
  • ยฝ cup (120 ml) oat milk (preferably barista-style)
  • 1 teaspoon honey (or maple syrup as a substitute)
  • ยผ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • โ…› teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)

Instructions

  1. Brew 2 shots of espresso (about 60 ml / 2 fl oz) using an espresso machine or moka pot. Alternatively, brew ยฝ cup (120 ml) of very strong coffee.
  2. Pour ยฝ cup (120 ml) oat milk into a small saucepan and heat over medium-low until just steaming (2-3 minutes). Avoid boiling. Froth the milk using a frother or whisk vigorously until frothy.
  3. In a serving glass, add 1 teaspoon honey, ยผ teaspoon ground cinnamon, and optional โ…› teaspoon vanilla extract. Stir to combine well.
  4. Pour the hot espresso over the honey-cinnamon mixture. Gently add the frothed oat milk, holding back foam with a spoon to layer it on top.
  5. Optionally, sprinkle a tiny pinch of cinnamon on top for extra aroma. Serve warm and enjoy.

Notes

Keep oat milk warm but not boiling to avoid grainy texture. Stir honey and cinnamon into hot espresso for better dissolution. If no frother, whisk milk vigorously to create foam. Use barista-style oat milk for best frothing results. Can be served iced by chilling espresso and oat milk and layering over ice.
