This creamy 3-ingredient frozen mango lassi is a quick and easy treat that tastes like a milkshake but is lighter and more refreshing. Made with frozen mango, yogurt, and honey, it’s perfect for any occasion and ready in under 5 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups frozen mango chunks (about 300g)
  • 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt (120ml)
  • 12 tablespoons honey or sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 23 tablespoons milk or water (optional, only if needed for blending)
  • Pinch of ground cardamom (optional garnish)
  • Chopped pistachios (optional garnish)

Instructions

  1. Add frozen mango chunks directly to the blender. No need to thaw.
  2. Add Greek yogurt and honey (start with 1 tablespoon). Do not add any liquid yet.
  3. Pulse the blender a few times on low to break up the largest mango chunks.
  4. Increase speed to medium-high and blend, using the tamper or scraping down the sides with a spatula every 15-20 seconds.
  5. After 30-45 seconds, check consistency. It should be thick and creamy like soft-serve ice cream. If too thick, add 1 tablespoon of milk or water at a time until it comes together.
  6. Taste and adjust sweetness by adding more honey if needed. If mango flavor is weak, add another handful of frozen mango.
  7. Blend on high for another 20-30 seconds until completely smooth and glossy.
  8. Serve immediately in glasses. Garnish with cardamom, pistachios, or a drizzle of honey if desired.

Notes

Using frozen mango instead of fresh mango plus ice is the secret to a thick, creamy texture. Start with no liquid and add only if needed. Over-blending creates heat and thins the lassi. If too thin, freeze for 15-20 minutes, stirring every 5 minutes. For a vegan version, use coconut yogurt.
