  • 1 cup (8 fl oz) strong brewed coffee, cooled
  • 2 tablespoons packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 cup (8 fl oz) milk of choice (whole milk, oat milk, or almond milk)
  • ยฝ teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
  • Ice cubes

Instructions

  1. Brew about 1 cup (8 fl oz) of strong coffee. Cool to room temperature or chill in the fridge.
  2. In a small saucepan over low heat, combine 2 tablespoons packed brown sugar, 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon, and 2 tablespoons water. Stir constantly with a whisk or spoon until sugar is completely melted and mixture is smooth, about 3 to 5 minutes. Do not burn.
  3. Remove saucepan from heat. Stir in 1 cup milk and ยฝ teaspoon vanilla extract if using. Whisk gently until combined and creamy.
  4. Fill a tall glass with ice cubes. Pour cooled coffee over the ice.
  5. Slowly add the brown sugar cinnamon milk mixture over the coffee to create swirls.
  6. Stir gently to combine. Taste and adjust sweetness or cinnamon if desired.
  7. Enjoy immediately while cold and creamy.

Notes

Use strong coffee such as espresso or concentrated cold brew for best flavor. Warm the sugar gently to avoid burning. Oat milk is recommended for a dairy-free creamy texture.
