A cozy and refreshing iced latte featuring creamy oat milk, warm cinnamon, and sweet brown sugar, perfect for a quick and indulgent afternoon pick-me-up.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 shots (about 2 oz / 60 ml) freshly brewed espresso or ยฝ cup (120 ml) very strong brewed coffee
  • 1 cup (240 ml) oat milk, preferably barista-style
  • 2 tablespoons packed brown sugar (light or dark)
  • ยฝ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup (240 ml) ice cubes
  • ยผ teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)

Instructions

  1. Brew 2 shots (about 2 oz / 60 ml) of espresso or ยฝ cup (120 ml) of very strong brewed coffee using a moka pot, AeroPress, or coffee maker. Set aside to keep warm.
  2. Pour 1 cup (240 ml) oat milk into a small saucepan. Add 2 tablespoons packed brown sugar and ยฝ teaspoon ground cinnamon. Heat gently over medium-low heat, stirring constantly until the sugar dissolves and the mixture is warm and fragrant, but not boiling.
  3. Remove the pan from heat and stir in ยผ teaspoon vanilla extract if using.
  4. Fill a tall glass about ยพ full with ice cubes (about 1 cup / 240 ml).
  5. Slowly pour the brewed espresso or strong coffee over the ice.
  6. Pour the warm, sweetened oat milk mixture over the coffee and ice, allowing the creamy layers to swirl.
  7. Gently stir the latte to combine flavors. Adjust sweetness if desired by dissolving more brown sugar in a splash of warm water and adding it.

Notes

Do not overheat the oat milk to avoid grainy texture. Use barista-style oat milk for creamier texture. Freshly ground espresso beans improve flavor. Vanilla extract is optional but adds aroma. Adjust sweetness to taste. Leftover oat milk mixture can be stored in the fridge up to 2 days and reheated gently before use.
