A quick and easy keto-friendly butter coffee recipe that blends grass-fed butter, MCT oil, cinnamon, and vanilla for a creamy, satisfying morning boost.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup (240 ml) freshly brewed strong coffee (medium-dark roast preferred)
  • 1 tablespoon (14 g) grass-fed unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) MCT oil (or coconut oil as substitute)
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon powder (optional)
  • 1/4 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • Optional: a few drops of liquid stevia or erythritol to taste

Instructions

  1. Brew a strong cup of coffee (about 1 cup or 240 ml), piping hot but just off the boil.
  2. Pour the hot coffee into a blender or tall container.
  3. Add 1 tablespoon softened grass-fed unsalted butter, 1 tablespoon MCT oil, 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon, and 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract. Add sweetener if desired.
  4. Blend on high for 20-30 seconds until creamy and frothy with a smooth surface.
  5. Pour into a mug carefully and enjoy. Adjust sweetness or cinnamon to taste.

Notes

Use softened butter rather than melted to avoid overheating the coffee. Blend immediately after brewing to emulsify fats properly. If no blender is available, a handheld milk frother or immersion blender can be used but may produce less creamy texture. Store butter-oil mixture in fridge for up to a week and blend with hot coffee before drinking. Avoid overheating to prevent fat separation.
