A quick and easy homemade milkshake blending rich chocolate and fresh cherries with a creamy twist of cream cheese for a silky, nostalgic treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups vanilla ice cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 2 tbsp cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen pitted cherries
  • 3 tbsp chocolate syrup
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Optional toppings: whipped cream, fresh cherries for garnish, chocolate shavings or sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Soften the cream cheese by leaving it at room temperature for about 15 minutes.
  2. If using fresh cherries, pit and rinse them. Frozen cherries can be used directly.
  3. Add vanilla ice cream, whole milk, and softened cream cheese to the blender. Blend for about 20 seconds until creamy and smooth.
  4. Add cherries, chocolate syrup, and vanilla extract to the blender. Pulse a few times, then blend on medium speed for 30-40 seconds until thick but pourable.
  5. Taste and adjust sweetness or thickness by adding more chocolate syrup or milk if needed. Blend briefly again if adjustments are made.
  6. Pour into chilled tall glasses and top with whipped cream, fresh cherries, or chocolate shavings if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

Use softened cream cheese for smooth texture. Frozen cherries add chill and thickness; fresh cherries add bright fruitiness. Adjust thickness with milk or ice cream. Clean blender immediately to avoid sticky residue. For dairy-free, use coconut or almond milk-based ice cream and milk, and vegan cream cheese or omit it.
