A smooth, rich, and lightly sweetened cold brew coffee topped with homemade sweet cream, perfect for hot days and quick caffeine fixes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup (240 ml) cold brew coffee concentrate
  • ยฝ cup (120 ml) heavy cream or heavy whipping cream
  • 1 tablespoon (12 g) granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon (5 ml) pure vanilla extract
  • ยผ cup (60 ml) cold water or milk (optional)
  • Ice cubes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Make the Sweet Cream: In a small bowl or jar, combine ยฝ cup (120 ml) of heavy cream, 1 tablespoon (12 g) granulated sugar, and 1 teaspoon (5 ml) pure vanilla extract. Whisk vigorously or shake the jar until the sugar dissolves and the cream is smooth and slightly thickened, about 1-2 minutes.
  2. Prepare Your Cold Brew Base: Pour 1 cup (240 ml) of cold brew coffee concentrate into a glass. If the concentrate is very strong for your taste, dilute it with ยผ cup (60 ml) cold water or milk. Stir gently.
  3. Combine and Serve: Slowly pour ยผ cup (60 ml) of your sweet cream over the cold brew coffee. Stir gently if you want the cream fully blended or leave it layered for a pretty gradient effect.
  4. Optional Step: Add ice cubes if you prefer your drink extra cold. Use large ice cubes to avoid quick dilution.
  5. Taste and Adjust: If you want it sweeter, add a little more sugar or sweet cream. If too rich, add a splash more cold water or milk.

Notes

Do not over-whip the sweet cream; it should be smooth and pourable, not stiff. Use fresh cold brew concentrate for best flavor. Prepare sweet cream just before serving to keep it fresh and silky. Store leftover sweet cream in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days and stir gently before use.
