A creamy, refreshing tropical drink inspired by Starbucks’ Dragon Drink, enhanced with a luscious mango twist. Easy to make at home with simple ingredients for a perfect summer treat or anytime pick-me-up.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup (240 ml) unsweetened coconut milk (full-fat recommended)
  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) brewed green tea, cooled (jasmine or sencha preferred)
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla syrup or simple syrup (adjust to taste)
  • 1/2 cup (75 g) frozen dragon fruit chunks (bright pink or white flesh)
  • 1/2 cup (80 g) frozen mango chunks (fresh mango can be used)
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) mango puree (optional)
  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) ice cubes
  • Fresh mango slices or dragon fruit cubes for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Brew a cup of green tea (about 240 ml) using a mild variety like jasmine or sencha. Steep for 3-5 minutes, then cool completely in the fridge.
  2. In a high-speed blender, combine frozen dragon fruit chunks, frozen mango chunks, and optional mango puree. Blend on high for 1-2 minutes until smooth and creamy.
  3. Add coconut milk, brewed green tea, and vanilla syrup to the blender. Blend briefly for 15-20 seconds to combine evenly.
  4. Add ice cubes to the blender and pulse a few times to chill the drink without diluting it too much. Add more ice or frozen fruit if a thicker texture is desired.
  5. Pour the drink into a glass and garnish with fresh mango slices or dragon fruit cubes if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

Use full-fat coconut milk for best creaminess. If blender struggles with frozen fruit, let fruit soften at room temperature for 3-5 minutes before blending. Adjust sweetness by adding more or less vanilla syrup. For extra smoothness, strain through a fine mesh sieve to remove tiny seeds. Brew green tea strong but not bitter to balance flavors. Serve immediately for best texture and flavor. Store leftovers without ice in fridge up to 24 hours and re-blend with ice before serving.
