A smooth, sweet, and perfectly chilled cold brew coffee topped with a silky vanilla sweet cream, ideal for a refreshing summer treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ยฝ cups (360 ml) cold brew coffee
  • ยฝ cup (120 ml) heavy cream, cold
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • ยผ cup (60 ml) milk (optional)
  • Ice cubes as needed

Instructions

  1. Make or prepare your cold brew: Combine ยพ cup (75 g) coarsely ground coffee with 3 cups (720 ml) cold water in a large jar or cold brew maker. Stir gently and steep in the fridge for 12 to 24 hours. Strain through a fine mesh sieve or coffee filter.
  2. Prepare the vanilla sweet cream: In a large chilled bowl, pour ยฝ cup (120 ml) heavy cream, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, and 2 tablespoons granulated sugar. Using an electric mixer or a whisk, whip the mixture until soft peaks form, about 2 to 3 minutes. The cream should be thick but still pourable, not stiff.
  3. Assemble your cold brew drink: Fill a tall glass with ice cubes. Pour 1 ยฝ cups (360 ml) of cold brew coffee over the ice. Slowly pour or spoon the vanilla sweet cream on topโ€”the cream will float, creating a signature layered effect. If desired, add ยผ cup (60 ml) of milk to the cold brew before topping with cream.
  4. Serve immediately: Stir gently if you prefer a creamier, blended drink or sip as is to enjoy the contrast between the bold coffee and sweet cream.

Notes

Use cold ingredients and whip cream to soft peaks for best layering effect. Over-whipping cream makes it too stiff to float. For dairy-free, substitute heavy cream and milk with full-fat coconut milk or creamy oat milk and sweeten with maple syrup.
