A quick and easy whipped coffee made from instant coffee powder, sugar, and hot water, topped over milk with a fluffy, velvety foam that creates a creamy and indulgent coffee experience.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 tablespoons instant coffee powder
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons hot water
  • 3/4 cup cold milk (whole, almond, oat, soy, or preferred milk)
  • Ice cubes (optional)
  • Pinch of cinnamon or cocoa powder (optional for garnish or flavor twist)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine 2 tablespoons instant coffee powder, 2 tablespoons granulated sugar, and 2 tablespoons hot water.
  2. Whip the mixture vigorously using an electric mixer for 3-5 minutes or by hand with a balloon whisk for 10-12 minutes until stiff peaks form and the foam is thick and glossy.
  3. Fill a glass or mug about 3/4 full with cold milk. Add ice cubes if desired.
  4. Spoon the whipped coffee foam on top of the milk, creating a thick layer.
  5. Serve immediately. Stir gently before drinking or sip with the foam on top for a creamy, velvety texture.

Notes

Use instant coffee powder for best foam. Granulated sugar stabilizes the foam; reducing sugar may make foam less stable. Cold bowls and beaters help achieve better foam. For dairy-free, use almond, oat, or soy milk. Foam is best served immediately but can hold shape for 15-20 minutes. Re-whisk foam gently if stored. Avoid brewed coffee as it won’t whip.
