A quick and easy whipped coffee recipe that creates a creamy, frothy coffee topping served over milk, perfect for hot or iced coffee lovers.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 tablespoons instant coffee powder
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons hot water
  • 1 cup milk of choice (whole milk for creaminess, or almond/oat/soy milk for dairy-free)
  • Optional: vanilla extract (a drop)
  • Optional: ground cinnamon (for sprinkling or whipping in)
  • Optional: chocolate shavings or cocoa powder (for mocha flavor)

Instructions

  1. Combine 2 tablespoons instant coffee, 2 tablespoons granulated sugar, and 2 tablespoons hot water in a mixing bowl.
  2. Using a hand mixer on medium-high speed, whip the mixture for 3-5 minutes until thick and glossy with stiff peaks.
  3. For hot dalgona coffee, gently heat 1 cup of milk until warm but not boiling. For iced coffee, fill a glass with 1 cup cold milk and ice cubes.
  4. Spoon the whipped coffee foam on top of the milk, creating a layered look.
  5. Optionally, sprinkle ground cinnamon, cocoa powder, or chocolate shavings on top.
  6. Serve and enjoy. Stir before drinking or sip as is for layered experience.

Notes

Use instant coffee powder for best whipping results; regular brewed coffee will not whip. Keep bowl and beaters clean and dry. Serve immediately for best foam stability. For less sugar, try sugar substitutes but whipping time may increase. For dairy-free, use oat or almond milk. Whipping by hand takes longer (8-12 minutes).
