A luxurious and easy-to-make espresso martini cocktail that balances bold espresso flavor with silky smooth creaminess, perfect for a sophisticated sip anytime.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 shot freshly brewed espresso (about 1 oz / 30 ml)
  • 2 oz (60 ml) vodka
  • 1 oz (30 ml) coffee liqueur (e.g., Kahlรบa)
  • 1 oz (30 ml) heavy cream (or half-and-half or coconut cream for dairy-free)
  • 1/2 oz (15 ml) simple syrup (optional)
  • Ice cubes
  • Garnish: 3 coffee beans or a pinch of cocoa powder

Instructions

  1. Brew a fresh shot of espresso (about 1 oz / 30 ml) and let it cool to room temperature or slightly warm.
  2. Fill a cocktail shaker halfway with ice cubes.
  3. Add vodka, coffee liqueur, cooled espresso, heavy cream, and simple syrup (if using) into the shaker.
  4. Secure the lid and shake vigorously for 15-20 seconds until frothy and creamy.
  5. Strain the cocktail into a chilled martini or coupe glass using a fine strainer.
  6. Garnish with 3 coffee beans or a light dusting of cocoa powder.

Notes

Use freshly brewed espresso and let it cool slightly before shaking to avoid diluting the drink. Shake vigorously to create a frothy top. Chill your glass beforehand for best presentation. For dairy-free options, substitute heavy cream with coconut cream or almond milk creamer. Adjust sweetness with simple syrup to taste.
