A creamy and refreshing frozen mango lassi infused with aromatic cardamom and luxurious saffron, perfect for warm weather and quick indulgence.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups (300g) frozen mango chunks
  • 1 cup (240ml) plain Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) milk
  • 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom
  • A pinch (about 10 strands) saffron strands soaked in 1 tablespoon warm milk
  • 1 teaspoon fresh lime juice
  • 45 ice cubes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Soak about 10 saffron strands in 1 tablespoon of warm milk for 5โ€“10 minutes to release color and aroma.
  2. In a blender, combine frozen mango chunks, Greek yogurt, milk, honey or maple syrup, ground cardamom, and fresh lime juice.
  3. Add the saffron-infused milk to the blender.
  4. Optionally add 4-5 ice cubes for a frostier texture.
  5. Blend on high for 1โ€“2 minutes until smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides if needed.
  6. Taste and adjust sweetness or lime juice as desired. Add more milk if too thick and blend again.
  7. Serve immediately in chilled glasses, garnished with a few saffron strands or a sprinkle of cardamom powder if desired.

Notes

Soak saffron in warm milk to unlock its flavor and color. Use frozen mango for best texture. Adjust sweetness and spice to taste. Blend just until smooth to avoid warming the drink. Store leftovers in the fridge up to 24 hours and stir before serving.
