A rich and smooth cold brew coffee drink blended with hazelnut syrup, melted dark chocolate, and creamy milk or cream, perfect for a refreshing and indulgent pick-me-up.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup (240 ml) strong cold brew concentrate
  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) hazelnut syrup (store-bought or homemade)
  • 2 tablespoons (30 g) dark chocolate, melted (70% cocoa or higher)
  • ยฝ cup (120 ml) milk or cream (whole milk, half-and-half, or oat milk for dairy-free)
  • Ice cubes (preferably large)
  • Optional toppings: whipped cream, chocolate shavings, cocoa powder

Instructions

  1. Prepare the cold brew coffee if making your own by steeping coarsely ground coffee in cold water (1 cup coffee to 4 cups water) for 12-18 hours in the fridge, then strain. Otherwise, use store-bought cold brew concentrate.
  2. Melt the dark chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl in 20-second bursts, stirring until smooth, or use a double boiler. Let cool slightly for 2-3 minutes.
  3. In a serving glass, combine hazelnut syrup and melted chocolate. Stir well until fully blended.
  4. Pour cold brew concentrate into the glass with the syrup and chocolate mixture. Stir gently but thoroughly.
  5. Slowly add milk or cream over the coffee mixture and stir gently to combine.
  6. Fill the glass with ice cubes to chill the drink without diluting it quickly.
  7. Add optional toppings such as whipped cream, chocolate shavings, or a dusting of cocoa powder.

Notes

Use quality cold brew for best flavor. Melt chocolate slowly to avoid seizing. Adjust sweetness by tasting before adding milk. Large ice cubes melt slower and keep the drink cold longer. For dairy-free, use oat, almond, or coconut milk. Store leftovers in fridge up to 24 hours and stir before serving.
