A cozy, creamy latte featuring hazelnut praline spread blended into milk and espresso for a warm, nutty, and indulgent morning drink.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 shot (30 ml) espresso or 1/2 cup (120 ml) strong brewed coffee
  • 2 tablespoons hazelnut praline spread
  • 1 cup (240 ml) milk (whole milk recommended, almond or oat milk for dairy-free)
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream (optional for extra richness)
  • 1 teaspoon sugar or sweetener (optional)
  • Pinch of cinnamon (optional)
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)

Instructions

  1. Brew your espresso or strong coffee and set aside.
  2. In a small saucepan over low heat, combine milk, hazelnut praline spread, and heavy cream if using. Warm gently, stirring constantly until the praline dissolves and the mixture is smooth and steaming but not boiling.
  3. Stir in vanilla extract and cinnamon if using. Taste and add sugar if desired.
  4. Froth the milk mixture using a milk frother or whisk vigorously by hand until foam forms. Alternatively, pour into a heatproof jar with a lid and shake vigorously for 30 seconds.
  5. Pour brewed espresso or coffee into a mug. Slowly add the warm, frothy milk mixture, holding back foam with a spoon, then spoon foam on top.
  6. Optionally garnish with crushed hazelnuts or a dusting of cinnamon.
  7. Serve immediately while warm.

Notes

Warm milk slowly to avoid scorching and bitterness. Frothing the milk mixture is key for a cafรฉ-style texture. Oat milk froths well for dairy-free versions. Adjust sweetness to taste. Serve immediately for best flavor. Leftover milk-praline mixture can be stored separately in the fridge for up to 2 days and reheated gently.
