A smooth, velvety caramel cold foam layered over bold cold brew coffee, creating a refreshing and creamy summer drink that’s quick and easy to make at home.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup (240 ml) cold brew coffee
  • ยฝ cup (120 ml) milk or milk alternative (whole milk recommended, oat or almond milk for dairy-free)
  • 2 tablespoons caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • ยฝ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon simple syrup or honey (optional, adjust to taste)
  • Ice cubes (enough to fill glass about halfway)

Instructions

  1. Fill a glass about halfway with ice cubes (about ยฝ cup or 120 grams). Pour 1 cup (240 ml) of cold brew coffee over the ice. Set aside.
  2. In a small bowl or frothing cup, combine ยฝ cup (120 ml) milk, 2 tablespoons caramel sauce, ยฝ teaspoon vanilla extract, and sweetener if using. Stir gently until caramel blends into the milk.
  3. Using a milk frother or handheld electric mixer, froth the mixture until it thickens and doubles in volume, about 1-2 minutes. If using a blender, pulse in short bursts to avoid overheating.
  4. Slowly spoon or pour the caramel cold foam over the cold brew, letting it float on top to create layers.
  5. Optionally, drizzle a little extra caramel sauce on top for garnish.
  6. Serve immediately and enjoy.

Notes

Use cold milk for better frothing. Avoid over-frothing to prevent grainy texture. Fresh foam is best; store in fridge up to 4 hours and whisk before use. For richer foam, use half-and-half or cream blend. For dairy-free, use oat or almond milk and vegan caramel sauce. Optional flavor twists include cinnamon, nutmeg, or almond extract.
