A simple and creamy homemade strawberry milk made from fresh or frozen strawberries, milk, and a touch of sweetness, perfect for a nostalgic and refreshing treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced (about 150 g)
  • 1 ยฝ cups whole milk (360 ml)
  • 23 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Rinse 1 cup of fresh strawberries, hull and slice them. If using frozen, thaw fully and drain excess juice.
  2. Place strawberries, 2-3 tablespoons sugar, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt in a blender. Blend on high for about 30 seconds until smooth, scraping down sides if needed.
  3. Optional: Strain the puree through a fine mesh sieve to remove seeds and pulp for a smoother texture.
  4. Add 1 ยฝ cups cold whole milk to the strawberry puree or strained liquid. Stir gently to combine.
  5. Chill the strawberry milk in the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes before serving, or serve immediately over ice.

Notes

Use ripe, sweet strawberries for best flavor. Adjust sugar gradually to taste. Chilling the milk before serving improves flavor harmony. For a smoother texture, strain the puree to remove seeds. Cold milk enhances refreshment. Variations include using plant-based milk for dairy-free, or adding Greek yogurt or cottage cheese for a thicker smoothie style.
