A quick and easy iced latte combining brown sugar and oat milk with espresso for a creamy, refreshing drink perfect for hot days.

  • 12 shots (about 60 ml / 2 fl oz) freshly brewed espresso or ยฝ cup (120 ml) strong brewed coffee
  • 2 tablespoons (25 g) brown sugar, packed (light or dark)
  • ยพ cup (180 ml) chilled oat milk
  • 1 cup (810 cubes) ice cubes
  • ยผ teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)

Instructions

  1. Brew 1-2 shots (about 60 ml / 2 fl oz) of espresso or ยฝ cup (120 ml) strong brewed coffee. Let it cool slightly for about 2 minutes.
  2. In a shaker or jar, combine the warm espresso with 2 tablespoons (25 g) of brown sugar. Stir gently until the sugar dissolves completely, about 30 seconds. Add ยผ teaspoon vanilla extract if using.
  3. Pour ยพ cup (180 ml) chilled oat milk into the coffee-sugar mixture. Add 1 cup (8-10 cubes) of ice to the shaker.
  4. Secure the lid and shake vigorously for 15-20 seconds to chill and froth the drink.
  5. Pour the latte, including ice cubes, into a tall glass. Add extra ice if desired.
  6. Enjoy immediately.

Notes

Use barista-style oat milk for creaminess and better froth. Shake vigorously to create a frothy texture. Adjust brown sugar or coffee strength to taste. Can substitute almond or cashew milk for a dairy-free variation. Best served immediately for frothiness. Store leftovers in fridge up to 24 hours and shake before drinking.
