  • ยฝ cup (120 ml) caramel sauce
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • ยผ cup (30 grams) caramelized sugar crystals or crushed toffee bits
  • 2 tablespoons crushed cornflakes or crispy rice cereal (optional)
  • ยฝ cup (120 ml) whipped cream

Instructions

  1. Brew a strong cup of coffee (about 1 cup / 240 ml) and let it cool completely, ideally refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  2. In a small saucepan over low heat, gently warm the caramel sauce and butter together until smooth and combined (2-3 minutes). Stir occasionally and set aside to cool slightly.
  3. In a blender, combine the cooled coffee, milk, sugar, vanilla extract, and ice cubes. Blend on high for 30-45 seconds until smooth and frothy.
  4. Drizzle 2-3 tablespoons of the warm caramel ribbon around the inside of a serving glass to create swirls.
  5. Pour the blended frappuccino slowly into the glass, allowing the caramel ribbon to swirl naturally through the drink.
  6. Top generously with whipped cream (about ยฝ cup). Immediately sprinkle caramelized sugar crystals or crushed toffee bits (ยผ cup) and optional crushed cornflakes (2 tablespoons) over the whipped cream.
  7. Drizzle a little extra caramel sauce on top for visual appeal and extra sweetness. Serve immediately with a wide straw.
