A refreshing summer drink combining bold cold brew coffee with a smooth, creamy strawberry coquette cream made from cottage cheese and heavy cream. Easy to prepare and perfect for warm days.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup (240 ml) cold brew coffee
  • 1/2 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1/4 cup (60 g) small-curd cottage cheese, well-drained
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) honey
  • 1 teaspoon (5 ml) vanilla extract
  • Ice cubes as needed
  • Optional: pinch of sea salt
  • Optional dairy-free swap: coconut yogurt and full-fat coconut milk

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Strawberry Cream: In a blender, combine sliced strawberries, cottage cheese, heavy cream, honey, and vanilla extract. Blend on medium-high speed for about 45 seconds until smooth and creamy with no lumps. If too thick, add 1 tablespoon cold water to loosen.
  2. Make the Cold Brew Base: Measure 1 cup cold brew coffee into a tall glass. Fill halfway with ice cubes to chill the coffee.
  3. Assemble Your Drink: Gently pour the strawberry cream mixture over the iced cold brew to create a layered effect. Swirl gently before drinking.
  4. Adjust Sweetness and Texture: Taste and add more honey or cream if desired. Stir well. Add more ice or chill glass for colder drink.
  5. Serve Immediately: Enjoy fresh for best texture. Keep cream and coffee separate if preparing in advance.

Notes

Use small-curd cottage cheese and drain well for smooth cream. Chill all ingredients and glass for best results. Do not over-blend cream to avoid thinning. Can be made dairy-free by swapping cottage cheese and cream with coconut yogurt and coconut milk.
