A refreshing and comforting iced latte combining spicy chai concentrate, bold espresso, and creamy oat milk foam for a perfect balance of warmth and chill.

Ingredients

Scale
  • ยฝ cup (120 ml) chai tea concentrate or strong brewed chai
  • 12 shots (3060 ml) freshly brewed espresso or strong brewed coffee/cold brew concentrate
  • 1 cup (240 ml) barista-style oat milk, chilled
  • 12 teaspoons maple syrup, honey, or preferred sweetener
  • Ice cubes, enough to fill the glass
  • Pinch of cinnamon powder for garnish
  • Optional: dash of vanilla extract
  • Optional: sprinkle of ground nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Brew 1-2 shots (30-60 ml) of espresso using your preferred method and set aside to cool slightly.
  2. Pour ยฝ cup (120 ml) chai concentrate into a shaker or large glass. Add 1-2 teaspoons of sweetener and stir or shake gently to combine. Optionally warm the chai concentrate for 1-2 minutes then cool before proceeding.
  3. Pour 1 cup (240 ml) cold oat milk into a frother or jar and froth vigorously until thick, velvety foam forms, about 30-60 seconds with an electric frother or longer by hand.
  4. Fill a tall glass halfway with ice cubes. Pour the chai concentrate mixture over the ice, then slowly add the espresso shot(s) to create a layered look.
  5. Spoon the oat milk foam on top and lightly dust with cinnamon powder. Serve immediately.

Notes

Use barista-style oat milk like Oatly for best foam. Let espresso and chai concentrate cool slightly before pouring over ice to avoid dilution. Froth oat milk cold for best iced texture. Adjust sweetener to taste. Can substitute almond or soy milk but foam will be less creamy.
