A refreshing and creamy iced latte combining Earl Grey tea, vanilla, and lavender honey for a floral and subtly sweet flavor. Perfect for warm days or a soothing treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 Earl Grey tea bags or 2 teaspoons loose leaf Earl Grey tea
  • 1 cup (240 ml) freshly boiled water
  • 1 cup (240 ml) milk (whole milk or oat milk for dairy-free option)
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract or seeds from ยฝ vanilla bean
  • 2 tablespoons lavender honey (or regular honey with a pinch of dried culinary lavender)
  • Ice cubes (about 1 cup or 240 ml)
  • Optional: lavender sprigs for garnish

Instructions

  1. Boil 1 cup (240 ml) of water and pour it over 2 Earl Grey tea bags or 2 teaspoons of loose leaf tea in a heatproof mug or jar. Steep for 5 to 7 minutes, then remove tea bags or strain leaves.
  2. While the tea is still hot, stir in 2 tablespoons of lavender honey and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract or scraped vanilla bean seeds until honey dissolves.
  3. Let the tea come to room temperature (about 10 minutes), then refrigerate for 15 minutes or until chilled.
  4. Froth 1 cup (240 ml) of milk using a milk frother, whisk, or by shaking in a sealed jar until foamy and slightly thickened.
  5. Fill a tall glass with ice cubes (about 1 cup). Pour the chilled tea mixture over the ice, then gently add the frothed milk on top. Stir lightly if desired.
  6. Garnish with a lavender sprig if available and serve immediately.

Notes

If honey is too thick, warm slightly before mixing. Adjust sweetness to taste. Froth milk by shaking in a jar if no frother is available. Steep tea 5-7 minutes to avoid bitterness. Chill tea before adding ice to prevent dilution. Pour milk slowly over a spoon for layered presentation.
