A warm, indulgent drink combining strong coffee, Baileys Irish Cream, and fresh whipped cream, perfect for cozy evenings or special occasions.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 oz (180 ml) freshly brewed strong hot coffee
  • 1.5 oz (45 ml) Baileys Irish Cream
  • 1 tsp brown sugar (or to taste)
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) heavy cream, chilled
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of ground nutmeg or cocoa powder for garnish

Instructions

  1. Brew about 6 ounces (180 ml) of strong, hot coffee using your preferred method (French press recommended).
  2. Pour the freshly brewed coffee into a heatproof glass mug. Add 1 teaspoon of brown sugar and stir until fully dissolved.
  3. Add 1.5 ounces (45 ml) of Baileys Irish Cream to the sweetened coffee and stir gently.
  4. In a chilled bowl, whisk 1/4 cup (60 ml) of heavy cream with 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract and a pinch of sugar until soft peaks form.
  5. Spoon the whipped cream gently over the back of a spoon onto the coffee to create a creamy layer that floats on top.
  6. Garnish with a light sprinkle of ground nutmeg or cocoa powder and serve immediately.

Notes

Use hot coffee to dissolve sugar and blend well with Baileys. Whip cream to soft peaks only to avoid grainy texture. Chill the glass mug before assembling to keep whipped cream stable longer. Freshly whipped cream is best; avoid pre-whipping hours ahead.
