A cozy and indulgent coffee drink combining freshly brewed coffee, Irish cream liqueur, chocolate syrup, and whipped cream for a smooth, rich treat perfect for quiet moments.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz freshly brewed medium-dark roast coffee
  • 2 oz Irish cream liqueur (e.g., Baileys)
  • 1 tablespoon chocolate syrup (plus extra for drizzling)
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream, whipped lightly
  • 1 teaspoon sugar (optional)
  • A few drops vanilla extract (optional)

Instructions

  1. Brew 8 oz (240 ml) of fresh medium-dark roast coffee.
  2. While coffee is hot, stir in 1 teaspoon sugar if desired.
  3. Pour 2 oz Irish cream liqueur into the coffee and stir gently.
  4. Add 1 tablespoon chocolate syrup and stir well.
  5. Lightly whip 1/4 cup heavy cream until soft peaks form.
  6. Carefully spoon or ladle whipped cream over the coffee surface to create a layered effect.
  7. Drizzle extra chocolate syrup on top of the cream.
  8. Serve immediately for best taste and warmth.

Notes

Chill your mug beforehand to help the whipped cream float longer. Whip cream to soft peaks to avoid buttery texture. Avoid stirring after adding cream to maintain layers. Serve fresh; reheating is not recommended as cream breaks down.
