creamy Oreo milkshake recipe - featured image

A quick and easy creamy Oreo milkshake recipe combining crushed Oreos with velvety vanilla ice cream and milk for a nostalgic, indulgent treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups (480 ml) vanilla ice cream (full-fat recommended)
  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) cold milk (whole milk preferred, 2% optional)
  • 6 to 8 Oreo cookies (classic or Golden Oreos)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Whipped cream (optional, for topping)
  • Chocolate syrup (optional, for drizzling)

Instructions

  1. Measure out 2 cups (480 ml) of vanilla ice cream, 1/2 cup (120 ml) of cold milk, 6 to 8 Oreo cookies, and 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract.
  2. Break the Oreos by hand or toss them whole into the blender if chunkier bits are preferred.
  3. Add the ice cream, milk, Oreos, and vanilla extract to the blender and secure the lid tightly.
  4. Pulse the blender 5 to 10 times, then blend on high for 20-30 seconds until smooth but still with visible cookie bits.
  5. If the shake is too thick, add a splash more milk and blend briefly; if too thin, add a small scoop of ice cream.
  6. Pour the milkshake into tall glasses immediately to keep it frosty.
  7. Top with whipped cream and drizzle chocolate syrup if desired.
  8. Optionally, garnish with crumbled Oreo or a whole cookie as a stirrer.

Notes

Use cold milk and ice cream straight from the freezer for best texture. Avoid over-blending Oreos to keep crunchy bits. Adjust thickness by adding milk or ice cream as needed. Pulse blender instead of continuous blending to prevent overheating.
