A quick and easy homemade milkshake combining creamy peanut butter, vanilla ice cream, and crunchy Cracker Jack popcorn for a nostalgic sweet and salty treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups (480 ml) vanilla ice cream
  • 3 tablespoons peanut butter (smooth or crunchy)
  • 1 cup (240 ml) whole milk (or almond/oat milk for lighter shake)
  • 1/2 cup (about 30 grams) Cracker Jack popcorn
  • 1 tablespoon honey (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • Whipped cream for topping (optional)

Instructions

  1. Measure out 2 cups (480 ml) of vanilla ice cream and 1 cup (240 ml) of milk. Let the ice cream sit out for 5 minutes to soften slightly.
  2. Pour 1 cup (240 ml) of whole milk and 3 tablespoons of peanut butter into the blender. Blend for about 15 seconds until the peanut butter starts to incorporate.
  3. Add the softened vanilla ice cream, 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt to the blender. Blend on high for 30 seconds until smooth but thick.
  4. Add 1/2 cup (about 30 grams) of Cracker Jack popcorn. Pulse the blender 3-4 quick times to break popcorn into smaller pieces without pulverizing.
  5. Taste and if not sweet enough, add 1 tablespoon of honey and pulse briefly.
  6. Pour the shake into a glass and top with whipped cream and extra Cracker Jack pieces if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

Let ice cream soften slightly before blending for smoother texture. Pulse Cracker Jack popcorn at the end to maintain crunch without pulverizing. Adjust thickness by adding milk or ice cream as needed. Use dairy-free ice cream and plant milk for vegan version. Check Cracker Jack packaging for gluten-free status.
