A quick and easy creamy protein iced coffee blending cold brew, banana, and chocolate protein powder for a delicious and nourishing pick-me-up.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup (240 ml) cold brew coffee
  • 1 ripe medium banana
  • 1 scoop (about 30 grams) chocolate protein powder
  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 cup ice cubes
  • 1 tablespoon pure maple syrup (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon unsweetened cocoa powder (optional)

Instructions

  1. Peel the ripe banana and break it into chunks. Measure out 1 cup (240 ml) of cold brew coffee and 1/2 cup (120 ml) of unsweetened almond milk.
  2. Place banana chunks, cold brew, almond milk, 1 scoop (about 30 g) of chocolate protein powder, and 1 cup of ice cubes into the blender. If you want it sweeter, add 1 tablespoon of pure maple syrup and 1 teaspoon of cocoa powder.
  3. Pulse on high for about 45 seconds to 1 minute until smooth and creamy. If too thick, add a splash more almond milk and blend briefly again.
  4. Taste and adjust sweetness if needed by adding more maple syrup or a dash of vanilla extract and blend again for 10 seconds.
  5. Pour into your favorite glass or travel cup. Add a straw if desired and serve immediately.

Notes

Use a ripe banana with brown spots for best sweetness and creaminess. Add maple syrup and cocoa powder for extra sweetness and chocolate flavor. For less bitterness, freeze banana slices and replace half the ice with them. Blend ice last in short bursts to avoid watery texture. Sift protein powder or blend it first with milk to avoid clumps.
