A smooth, rich, and satisfying coffee treat featuring a luscious salted caramel cold foam atop bold cold brew coffee. Easy to make at home with simple ingredients and minimal effort.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup (240 ml) cold brew coffee
  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) milk (whole milk preferred, or 2%/oat milk for dairy-free)
  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) caramel sauce (preferably buttery, slightly salted)
  • A pinch of sea salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon (2.5 ml) vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon (5 ml) sugar or sweetener (optional)

Instructions

  1. Pour 1 cup (240 ml) of cold brew coffee into your serving glass. Ensure it is well chilled if homemade.
  2. In a separate container, combine 1/2 cup (120 ml) of cold milk with 2 tablespoons (30 ml) of caramel sauce, 1/2 teaspoon (2.5 ml) vanilla extract, and a pinch of sea salt. Stir gently to blend.
  3. Using a milk frother or handheld mixer, froth the flavored milk until thick, airy, and creamy, about 1 to 2 minutes, holding soft peaks but still pourable.
  4. Taste the foam; if sweeter foam is desired, stir in up to 1 teaspoon (5 ml) sugar or preferred sweetener before frothing.
  5. Slowly spoon or pour the cold foam over the cold brew coffee to create a layered effect.
  6. Garnish with a light drizzle of caramel sauce and a tiny sprinkle of sea salt on top.

Notes

Use cold milk straight from the fridge for best froth. Do not over-froth to avoid grainy texture. Fresh foam is best served immediately. For dairy-free, use oat or almond milk and vegan caramel sauce. Adjust sweetness to taste. Cold brew can be prepared ahead and stored up to 5 days refrigerated.
