A quick and easy iced coffee recipe featuring a creamy salted caramel cold foam with vanilla that creates a silky, salty-sweet swirl atop smooth cold brew coffee.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup (240 ml) cold brew coffee
  • ยฝ cup (120 ml) heavy cream, cold
  • 2 tablespoons caramel sauce (preferably buttery, slightly salted)
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • A pinch (about โ…› teaspoon) sea salt
  • Ice cubes (about 1 cup or 240 ml)
  • Optional: 1 teaspoon simple syrup or honey for sweetness

Instructions

  1. Fill a glass with ice cubes (about 1 cup or 240 ml). Pour in 1 cup (240 ml) of cold brew coffee. If desired, stir in 1 teaspoon of simple syrup or honey for sweetness. Set aside.
  2. Pour ยฝ cup (120 ml) of cold heavy cream into a chilled mixing bowl.
  3. Add 2 tablespoons caramel sauce, 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract, and a pinch (about โ…› teaspoon) of sea salt to the cream.
  4. Using a handheld electric mixer or milk frother, whip the cream mixture on medium-high speed until it thickens and forms soft peaks, about 2 to 3 minutes. Avoid over-whipping.
  5. Spoon or gently pour the whipped salted caramel vanilla cold foam over the iced coffee, creating a thick, fluffy layer on top.
  6. Optionally, drizzle a little extra caramel sauce on top for garnish.

Notes

Chill the mixing bowl and beaters for better whipping results. Avoid over-whipping the cream to prevent it from turning grainy or buttery. Use cold ingredients to keep the foam stable and ice from melting quickly. The foam is best served fresh but can be refrigerated for a few hours and re-whipped before serving. For dairy-free versions, use coconut or oat cream but whipping may be less stable.
