A quick and easy festive milkshake combining creamy vanilla ice cream, rich cocoa, and refreshing peppermint extract for a perfect mint-chocolate treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups (480 ml) vanilla ice cream
  • 1 cup (240 ml) whole milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • A few drops green food coloring (optional)
  • Whipped cream (optional, for topping)
  • Chocolate shavings or mini chocolate chips (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Gather and measure your ingredients.
  2. Place 2 cups (480 ml) of vanilla ice cream into the blender.
  3. Add 1 cup (240 ml) of whole milk slowly to control thickness.
  4. Mix in 1/2 teaspoon of peppermint extract.
  5. Sprinkle in 2 tablespoons of unsweetened cocoa powder.
  6. Add a few drops of green food coloring, if using.
  7. Blend everything on high speed for 30-45 seconds until smooth and thick.
  8. If too thick, add a splash more milk and blend again; if too thin, add a small scoop of ice cream and pulse.
  9. Pour the milkshake into tall glasses.
  10. Top with whipped cream and sprinkle with chocolate shavings or mini chips if desired.
  11. Serve immediately.

Notes

Avoid over-blending to prevent melting the ice cream too much. Use short pulses and check consistency. Chill glasses beforehand for best texture. Adjust peppermint extract to taste to avoid overpowering mint flavor. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 24 hours and stir or reblend before serving.
