A creamy, minty milkshake topped with whipped cream that offers a refreshing and indulgent treat perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups (480 ml) mint ice cream (preferably Ben & Jerryโ€™s or Haagen-Dazs)
  • 1 cup (240 ml) whole milk or cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Green food coloring (optional, a few drops)
  • Whipped cream for topping (store-bought or homemade)
  • Crushed peppermint candy or fresh mint leaves (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Measure 2 cups (480 ml) of mint ice cream, 1 cup (240 ml) of whole milk or cream, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Prepare green food coloring if using.
  2. Add the mint ice cream, milk or cream, and vanilla extract into a blender. Optionally add 2-3 drops of green food coloring.
  3. Blend for 30 seconds to 1 minute until creamy and well combined but still thick. Avoid overblending.
  4. Check consistency: it should coat the back of a spoon but be easy to sip. Add more milk if too thick or more ice cream if too thin.
  5. Pour the milkshake evenly into tall glasses, leaving room for whipped cream.
  6. Top each milkshake generously with whipped cream and optionally sprinkle crushed peppermint candy or garnish with fresh mint leaves.
  7. Serve immediately while fresh and frosty.

Notes

Use quality mint ice cream for best flavor. Avoid overblending to keep thick texture. Chill glassware for a colder milkshake. Homemade whipped cream is lighter and less sweet than canned. Can be adapted for dairy-free or adult versions with alcohol.
