A cozy and indulgent latte combining fresh strawberry puree, delicate rose water, and a light vanilla foam, perfect for slow mornings or calming breaks.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and quartered
  • 1 cup whole milk (or oat/almond milk for dairy-free)
  • 1 shot espresso or 1/4 cup strong brewed coffee
  • 1 teaspoon rose water
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar or honey, divided
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream (or coconut cream for vegan option)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the strawberry puree: Blend hulled strawberries with 1 tablespoon sugar or honey until smooth. Strain if desired to remove seeds. Set aside.
  2. Brew the coffee: Pull a shot of espresso or brew a strong cup of coffee and pour into your latte glass or mug.
  3. Warm the milk: Gently heat the milk in a small saucepan over medium-low heat until steaming but not boiling (about 150ยฐF). Remove from heat.
  4. Mix strawberry and rose: Stir the strawberry puree and rose water into the warm milk. Adjust sweetness or rose water to taste.
  5. Make the vanilla foam: In a chilled bowl, combine heavy cream, vanilla extract, and 1 tablespoon sugar or honey. Whip with a handheld frother or whisk until soft peaks form.
  6. Assemble the latte: Pour the warm strawberry rose milk mixture over the espresso. Spoon the vanilla foam on top. Optionally garnish with a fresh strawberry or dried rose petals.
  7. Enjoy immediately, sipping slowly to savor the floral and creamy flavors.

Notes

Use ripe strawberries for best flavor. Add rose water gradually to avoid overpowering. Chill bowl and whisk for better foam. Warm milk gently to avoid scalding. Vanilla foam can be made without a frother by whisking or shaking cream in a jar.
