A quick and refreshing homemade tropical lassi blending ripe mango, pineapple, and creamy whole-milk yogurt with a touch of honey and lime for a smooth, tangy treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup ripe mango, chopped (preferably Ataulfo or Haden)
  • 1 cup fresh pineapple, chopped (or thawed frozen pineapple)
  • 1 cup plain whole-milk yogurt (Greek yogurt works too)
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup, to taste
  • 1/2 cup cold water or ice cubes
  • 1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
  • Mint leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Peel and chop the mango and pineapple into roughly 1-inch pieces. If using frozen fruit, thaw enough to blend easily but keep cold.
  2. Place mango, pineapple, yogurt, 1 tablespoon honey, and cardamom powder into a blender.
  3. Blend on high until smooth and creamy with no chunks. If too thick, add cold water or 2-3 ice cubes gradually and blend again.
  4. Taste and add more honey if needed. Stir in fresh lime juice and blend briefly to combine.
  5. Pour into tall glasses and garnish with mint leaves if desired. Serve immediately chilled.

Notes

Use ripe mangoes for natural sweetness; add honey to balance tartness if fruit is underripe. Avoid over-blending to prevent warming the drink. Whole-milk or Greek yogurt gives best creamy texture. For dairy-free, substitute coconut or almond yogurt and use maple syrup or agave instead of honey. Frozen fruit can be used and helps chill the drink naturally.
