A warm, comforting golden milk latte made with turmeric, black pepper, honey, and full-fat coconut milk, perfect for cozy nights and wellness boosts.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup (240 ml) full-fat coconut milk
  • 1 teaspoon (2 grams) turmeric powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon (0.5 grams) ground cinnamon
  • Pinch of black pepper (about 1/8 teaspoon or less)
  • 1 tablespoon (21 grams) honey
  • Optional: 1/2 teaspoon (1 gram) grated fresh ginger
  • Optional: 1/4 teaspoon (1 ml) vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, pour 1 cup (240 ml) of full-fat coconut milk. Add 1 teaspoon (2 grams) turmeric powder, 1/4 teaspoon (0.5 grams) ground cinnamon, a pinch of black pepper (about 1/8 teaspoon or less), and if using, 1/2 teaspoon (1 gram) grated fresh ginger and 1/4 teaspoon (1 ml) vanilla extract.
  2. Warm the mixture over medium-low heat, whisking constantly to blend the spices evenly. Heat for about 4-5 minutes until hot but not boiling, with bubbles forming at the edges.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in 1 tablespoon (21 grams) honey. Taste and adjust sweetness as desired.
  4. If desired, strain the latte through a fine mesh sieve into your mug for a smoother texture.
  5. Serve warm and enjoy.

Notes

Keep heat moderate to avoid bitterness and separation of coconut milk. Whisk constantly to prevent lumps. Add honey off the heat to preserve enzymes. Use black pepper to enhance turmeric absorption. Fresh ginger and vanilla extract are optional for added flavor. Can substitute honey with maple syrup or agave nectar for vegan version. Leftovers can be stored in fridge up to 2 days and reheated gently with whisking.
